Our Dog Walking Service These days people find it difficult to find time to give their dog the exercise they need. This could be due to working hours or a busy life style.

One of the keys to having a happy, balanced dog is the daily interesting, physically and mentally stimulating walk full of fun and ideally in different locations. This is the perfect combination to ensure you have a happy dog at home. Tired dog = happy owner.

All these important aspects are what Rambling Rose's Dog Walking offers your dog, simply a top class professional service. Your dog will be collected from its home and transported in a secure and air conditioned vehicle to an ideal walking location. Felixstowe has lots of exciting places to walk a dog, or a small pack, such as parks, fields, bridleways, beaches, and even a swim in the summer when the weather is nice (with your permission only). The safety of your dog is paramount so I only walk in areas away from busy roads.

One to one walks can be arranged if desired, as we know that not all dogs like to walk with others.

We will only walk a small pack, a maximum of FOUR dogs so your dog can have our full attention. We will team up dogs of a similar size and nature on our walks so that they can enjoy some canine company. When dogs walk as a pack, it develops and improves many of their social skills and makes them feel like they are doing a job. It keeps their minds active and therefore, at the end of it, they feel tired and relaxed for the rest of the day. Dogs will only be let off the lead with your express, written permission and if they have good recall.

After our walk your dog will be returned to your home tired and happy. We will dry their wet and muddy paws, making sure water is available before leaving them.

Our dog walking service is totally flexible, so whether you need a daily walk or just the odd day every now and then, or perhaps an early evening walk we are happy to help. We can sometimes accommodate walks at short notice. Rambling Rose Dog Walking has a 'can do' attitude and there are no problems just solutions.

Walks can be from 30 minutes to 2 Hours. It's up to you.

Before any walk takes place, there will be a free initial consultation to talk about your dog and of course to meet each other, this is your perfect opportunity to ask any questions you may have. We can even come on a walk with you. All dogs must be fully vaccinated and wear a collar and tag with contact details.

A texted or emailed 'walk report' can be sent to you to let you know how your dog did on its walk and that he or she is back home safe, tired and waiting for you. Why not call us to discuss your needs? We will be more than happy to help.

Last minute outing? Shift worker? Just want a day to yourself?
Not a problem, we will always attempt to make room for you and often squeeze in last minute bookings.

Our Pet Visiting Service

The patter of tiny paws, that all important new addition to your family can be an exciting time, however we understand there will be times when you are unable to be there for your puppy’s needs. We are available for puppy visits, where we can feed, check & top up water as well as cleaning up any messes and still make sure that there is time for play. We are happy to tailor a puppy visiting service to your needs. Perhaps your puppy is struggling settling in for the first couple of weeks and needs a bit of extra contact time, well we can pop in at odd intervals throughout the day and reassure your puppy that he or she is ok and that life isn’t scary.

Once your puppy has had their injections we can help you start introducing them to all the exciting things in that big dogs do. We can walk with friendly dogs or other puppies and go on small puppy walks and begin the important task of socialising them and teaching recall. Our Puppy Service has been popular and all our puppies have ‘graduated’ on to 1hr group walks where they are happy, social and contended dogs.

After visiting, we are more than happy to send a text, just to let you know that we have been and that all is well and any other information you might want to know.

We also offer Small Pet Visits; If you are going away, whether it is just for the day, overnight or a holiday we can pop in and care for your rabbit, guinea pig, hamster, hens, cat, caged birds. Any small pet really. We come to your house and ensure food and water is provided, litter trays, hutches or cages are cleaned and still have time for a quick cuddle or play. Just let us know how may visits you need and how long the visits need to be, that way you can rest assured that your pet is being looked after while you are away. We can also turn on lights, pull curtains, move post from the doormat etc so that any casual onlookers don’t realise that you are away.
